Leveling Progression (1-65)

The leveling journey for a Chaos Spell Witch can be divided into Path of Exile 2 Currency two main stages:

Stage 1 - Act 1-2: Establishing the Core

Start with Contagion and Unearth. Once Essence Drain becomes available, pair it with Contagion for the classic chaos combo. This pairing allows Contagion to spread Essence Drain's DoT, melting entire groups effortlessly.

At this stage, prioritize crafting or finding a wand with +1 to Chaos Spell Skills. If crafting RNG is rough, it's perfectly fine to buy POE2 Items like wands with this modifier from trusted sources such as eld.gg to speed up progression.

Stage 2 - Act 2-5: Transitioning to Power

As you progress, your damage scaling will improve drastically by adding Despair, Dark Effigy, and Sigil of Power to your rotation. Despair reduces enemy Chaos resistance, while Dark Effigy and Sigil of Power amplify your sustained DPS during longer fights.

Your damage output will skyrocket once you acquire mid-tier POE2 Items like a Withered Wand with both Spell Damage and Cast Speed affixes.

Recommended Equipment Priorities

While this build performs well on self-found gear, focusing on a few core stats will make leveling dramatically smoother:

Weapon: Withered Wand - +Chaos Skill Levels, Spell Damage, Cast Speed.
Focus/Offhand: Antler Focus - +All Spell Levels, Chaos Damage, Spell Damage.
Helmet: Wicker Tiara - Energy Shield, Life, Resistances.
Body Armor: Hexer's Robe - Life and Energy Shield.
Gloves: Somber Gloves - Cast Speed, Attributes.
Boots: Wrapped Sandals - Movement Speed (10-25%), Life, Resistances.
Jewelry: Rings and Amulet with +Attributes, Chaos Damage, and Resistances.

Upgrade your weapon regularly - at least every 10-15 levels. A freshly crafted or purchased Withered Wand with Chaos damage modifiers can double your DPS output. Don't hesitate to poe2 trade site with specific affixes like +Spell Skill Levels to save time during the campaign.
